The rules governing access to and use of AD Auditor, our website, software, license keys, updates, and support.

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of AD Auditor, including our website, software, documentation, downloads, license keys, updates, support, and related services.

By accessing this website, downloading the software, purchasing a license, or using the software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or software.

1. Definitions

  • "Company," "we," "us," or "our" means Corestratagems LLC.
  • "Software" means AD Auditor, an Active Directory auditing and reporting tool.
  • "Customer," "you," or "your" means the individual or organization accessing the website, purchasing a license, or using the Software.
  • "License" means the limited right to use the Software under these Terms and any applicable purchase terms.

2. Software Purpose

The Software is intended to assist administrators with Active Directory auditing, reporting, account review, and related security or compliance workflows.

The Software is a support tool only. It does not replace professional judgment, internal security review, compliance assessment, legal advice, incident response, or administrative oversight.

You are solely responsible for reviewing results, validating findings, and deciding what actions to take based on the Software's output.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for your internal business or organizational purposes.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout or in a separate written agreement:

  • An Annual License permits use for the applicable subscription term.
  • A Lifetime License permits use of the purchased major version branch, subject to the update terms stated at the time of purchase.

4. License Restrictions

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or distribute the Software;
  • copy the Software except for reasonable backup or internal deployment purposes;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the Software's source code, except where prohibited by law;
  • modify or create derivative works from the Software;
  • remove copyright, license, or proprietary notices;
  • use the Software to violate applicable law or third-party rights;
  • use the Software in a hosted, managed-service, or service bureau environment unless expressly authorized in writing.

5. License Keys and Activation

The Software may require a license key, activation process, or other entitlement verification.

You are responsible for protecting your license key. You may not share, publish, sell, or transfer license keys except as permitted by these Terms or a separate written agreement.

We may disable license keys that are misused, shared publicly, fraudulently obtained, refunded, charged back, or otherwise used in violation of these Terms.

6. Payments and Checkout

Purchases may be processed by a third-party payment provider or merchant of record.

When you purchase through Lemon Squeezy, the payment transaction may also be governed by Lemon Squeezy's applicable buyer terms, checkout terms, tax handling, and payment policies. Their buyer terms state that they govern transactions where Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record.

Prices, license terms, included updates, and support offerings are shown at the time of purchase and may change in the future.

7. Taxes

Applicable taxes may be calculated and collected during checkout by the payment processor or merchant of record.

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or governmental charges not collected at checkout, where applicable.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility, if any, will be described on the website, checkout page, or applicable purchase policy.

Refunds may be considered within 30 days of purchase if the Software has not been used beyond reasonable evaluation and no license misuse has occurred. We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of abuse, fraud, excessive use, or violation of these Terms.

9. Updates

Updates may include bug fixes, improvements, compatibility changes, new checks, or other modifications.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Annual licenses include updates released during the active license term.
  • Lifetime licenses include updates only for the applicable major version branch stated at purchase.
  • We are not obligated to provide updates indefinitely.
  • We may modify, discontinue, or remove features where necessary for security, compatibility, legal, or business reasons.

10. Support

Support availability depends on the license purchased.

Unless otherwise stated, support is provided by email on a commercially reasonable basis. We do not guarantee a specific response time unless a separate written agreement provides one.

Custom support, onboarding, SLA-backed support, custom audit checks, and enterprise services require a separate written agreement.

11. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • ensuring you have authorization to scan, audit, or query the systems you use with the Software;
  • protecting administrator credentials and sensitive data;
  • validating Software results before taking action;
  • maintaining backups and recovery procedures;
  • complying with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, and internal policies;
  • determining whether the Software is appropriate for your environment.

You should not rely solely on the Software to determine whether an environment is secure, compliant, or free of risk.

12. Security and Administrative Use

The Software may identify accounts, configurations, permissions, group memberships, password-related attributes, stale accounts, disabled accounts, or other directory-related information.

Because the Software may process sensitive administrative or security-related data, you must use it only in environments where you have proper authorization.

You are responsible for securing exported reports, logs, configuration files, license files, and any data generated by the Software.

13. No Guarantee of Findings

The Software may not detect every issue, misconfiguration, privileged account, stale account, compliance gap, or security concern.

Directory environments vary, and results may depend on permissions, replication status, domain controller availability, network conditions, data quality, configuration, and other factors.

We do not guarantee that the Software will identify every risk or that its results will be complete, current, or error-free.

14. Third-Party Services

The website, checkout, licensing, email delivery, analytics, hosting, or other functions may rely on third-party service providers.

We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, processing delays, payment failures, email delivery issues, or external platform policies.

15. Intellectual Property

The Software, website, documentation, branding, design, reports, text, graphics, logos, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited license expressly granted, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

16. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

17. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software, website, documentation, and related services are provided "as is" and "as available."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.

We do not warrant that the Software will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, detect all issues, prevent security incidents, or produce complete or accurate results.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, business interruption, loss of data, loss of goodwill, security incidents, compliance failures, or costs of substitute services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Software, website, or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the Software during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

20. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • your use or misuse of the Software;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your violation of law or third-party rights;
  • your use of the Software without proper authorization;
  • actions you take based on Software results.

21. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license or access to services if you violate these Terms, misuse a license key, fail to pay applicable fees, engage in fraud, or use the Software unlawfully.

Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete any unauthorized copies.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or Software after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Software will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
