Security & Trust.
AD Auditor runs locally in your Windows environment and performs read-only Active Directory checks. Your directory data never leaves your network.
Key points
- Read-only auditing. AD Auditor queries Active Directory to surface findings — it does not create, modify, or delete AD objects.
- Local execution. The application runs on your own workstation. It connects only to the Domain Controller you point it at.
- No cloud upload. Directory data and the reports you generate are never uploaded to Corestratagems or anywhere else.
- Offline licensing. License files are verified locally with cryptographic signatures. No internet connection or online activation is required.
- Local reports. Reports are generated on your machine and saved wherever you choose. You control where they go and who sees them.
- LDAP-based checks. AD Auditor uses standard LDAP queries to identify account hygiene and audit-related findings — the same protocol your existing tools already use.
- Simple trial. The trial unlocks the full product for its duration with no online activation, account creation, or phone-home.
What this means in practice
AD Auditor is built for environments where sending directory data to a third party isn't acceptable — air-gapped networks, regulated industries, or simply admins who'd rather their AD data stay in house. There's no agent to install on your domain, no service that runs in the background, and no telemetry. You run a scan, you get results, and the results live only where you put them.
